Our Sundays are a little longer than we're used to now that we don't have extended family around to share them with. And since we're out of church by noon (we just finished a year at the 9 am block and then we moved into a ward that was just starting a year of the 9 am block - don't get me started), we have a lot of time to fill in the afternoon. So this past Sunday we drove out to the Oklahoma City Temple to show the kids our new temple.
As members of the LDS church, our temples are really important to us. The fact that the only LDS temple for hundreds of miles is in Oklahoma City is one of the major reasons we decided to move here over some of our other choices. Traditionally, temples are much larger than our standard meetinghouses. Not so in OKC. The meetinghouse next door to the temple actually has a bigger footprint than the temple! The temple is so small, but very intimate. It actually looks much bigger in these pictures than in person.
Here's Logan pretending to be the angel Moroni (gold statue behind him).

lovely pictures. How do you do your vignette in the first two pictures- just the burn tool or something else?
I didn't do anything - that's just how the pictures took. Sorry. :)
It looks just like the temple we had in Columbus, OH. So beautiful. I hope you're getting adjusted and finding new and interesting things to do and see!
