Back in September my parents were able to come visit for a week or so. It was so nice to have my mom here in the midst of my chaotic 2-job month. Logan was still a novice school attender so it was a comfort to have my mom drop him off and pick him up when I couldn't. They just happened to be here on my Dad's birthday, so we celebrated with cake and pie. My dad has been on some crazy diet for awhile now (and looks great!) but we made him take the night off to enjoy his birthday dessert.
At first he didn't seem to happy about the growing older reminder...
...but he was a good sport about it...
...and blew out his candles to humor us.
We always love it when my parents come to visit, and this was no exception. I'm excited to see them again in just over a week!
Towards the end of September, I got to see another special person in my life. My freshman roommate, Laura, had her first baby, a darling little girl, and I was able to visit them in the hospital! Laura and I were a random match--we didn't know each other at all until we moved into our dorm room together--but it was definitely a match made in heaven. I couldn't have asked for a better roommate or friend than Laura. I know our friendship will be one that stands the test of time, and I love that she lives close and I was able to share this special time with her.

A week or so later, Laura came by so I could take some pictures of her sweet baby. This is one of the reasons I take pictures--so I can spend quality time with my friends and their newborns!
Welcome to the world, precious Brooklyn!

Hey I've been meaning to leave you a comment about your big move. My good friend moved to Tulsa earlier this year and Scott's sister lives in Bentonville. Based on what they have said, I'd go with Bentonville. Scott sister loves is so much I think it might be permanent. And my friend in Tulsa said they would never want to stay in Tulsa. They are only there as long as they have to be. They aren't fans of the place obviously. Anyways, I don't know if this helps but I thought I'd let you know since your were asking peoples opinions. Good luck with the move!
