Day 1

This month marks anniversary number three for Jeff and I. We probably should have started a blog a long time ago, if for no other reason than to document our life together, but also to keep in touch with all our family and friends. So belated as it may be, here it is: our maiden voyage into the world of blogs. We'll begin with something traditional---a family photo. For those of you who don't know us (or haven't seen us in a while), that's Carly on the left, Jeff on the right, and Logan below.
As all new parents do, we must take a moment to highlight our pride and joy---the most intelligent and talented 15-month-old the world has seen. Ok, so he might not be a prodigy yet, but he can say at least 10 words and he knows all the actions to "Popcorn Popping." (See video for proof.) His latest joy is climbing over, through, and under anything he can. I took the opportunity to explore my inner child and built a fort for him to engage his climbing skills in.

Last weekend we explored the mountains of Spanish Fork Canyon with Jeff's grandpa, J.P. Logan wasn't sure how he felt about the 4-wheelers at first, but they grew on him and even lulled him to sleep later in the day. Carly bought her first ever fishing license for the occasion, but the fish were not to be caught that day. Jeff rediscovered his love for the outdoors, and as a family we determined to go on a camping trip before the summer ends.

For those of you we haven't caught up with in a loooong time, here is the quick summary: We bought a townhouse last spring in Saratoga Springs, UT and have recently finished our basement (as in tonight). Jeff's still selling, trying to make the most of what he has. Carly graduated from BYU in April and has been working for the LDS Church ever since. The future is somewhat uncertain at the moment, but we find it exciting to imagine what the next year has in store for us!
